Athletic Philosophy

Nute Middle/High School recognizes the value athletic (co-curricular) activities play in the total development of a student's education. Athletics (co-curricular activities) is/are an extension of the educational process. Students learn from their participation in interscholastic athletics. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competition, and how to win and lose gracefully are an integral part of each team in our athletic program. Athletics play an important role in helping the individual student develop a healthy self-concept as well as a healthy body. Athletic competition adds to our school spirit, provides enjoyment and fun, and helps all students, spectators and participants develop pride and unity in their school and community.
